Apple Themed Bridal Shower

My sister-in-law Sam was recently a bridesmaid for one of her friend’s weddings and was helping put together the bridal shower. Apparently the bride loves Apple products and so her bridesmaids wanted to throw her a unique bridal shower themed based on Apple. She asked me to help with her invitations. She wanted to utilize the old multicolored Apple logo. The tagline was centered around Apple’s Think Different campaign and I used the Apple Garamond Light font for the invite. Check out the invite and the fun shower they put together!

We wanted to have a cool backdrop and somehow recreate the silhouette of her in the apple but do it in a budget-friendly manner. I was seeing all these awesome things you could do with crepe tissue paper on Pinterest so I suggested we recreate the apple that way. First I tile printed the actual silhouette and then we started laying out the streamers inside. Sam had the brilliant idea of adding texture by folding them.

Unfortunately, the wind messed up some of the folds ๐Ÿ™

The bridesmaids had custom fondant cupcakes made of the popular Apple iPhone applications.

My ever so talented JolieJolie partner in crime, Lisa was recruited to make her famous french macarons.
The insides were tinted with the same colors as the Apple logo.

The bridesmaids even had special Genuis shirts made with the Apple silhouette of the bride. Theirs read “Bridesmaid”…

the bride’s said “Bride”!

Congrats Diana!!

Simple Party Themes – Milk & Cookies!

How much more simple and nostalgic can you get with a milk and cookies birthday party. Anne over at A Party Style threw her daughter a delicious birthday party with all the fixings. She does a great job explaining her process.

Over at Amy Atlas, someone submitted a school-themed bridal shower which also included some milk and cookies! Check out the rest of that post on her blog.

A Button Themed Bridal Shower

So it’s wedding season and once again we have quite a few weddings to attend this year and along with weddings come bridal showers. We are helping a few people plan theirs and so I’m browsing through Wedding Chicks and check out the loveliness that ensues which was brilliantly shot by the talented Jessica Claire. EEK! It seriously is all about the details.

This button garland makes me so happy. I’m wondering what else we can hang on string!

Check out the rest of the process from the adorable Ruche dresses to the TJ Maxx dishes that were only $4 a piece!

Alice in Wonderland Mini Bridal Shower Invite

Lisa’s coworkers wanted to throw Lisa a small bridal shower at work and invited me to join in. Lucky ol’ Lisa, this was my 3rd party for her ๐Ÿ™‚ We decided on an “Alice in Wonderland” Mad Hatter Tea Party since Lisa loves tea. Here’s a quick look at her invite.

Due to such short notice, I kept it fairly simple with her invite and used some of Sir John Tenniel‘s original drawings from Lewis Caroll’s book. Included in each invite was a small teabag of Jasmine tea. Printed on Paper Source luxe line. More to come from the mini shower!
